  • Homeschool Day for "Environmental Impact"
    Dec. 3 • 10:15 a.m. and 12 p.m.
    Homeschooling families are invited to enjoy at day exploring PFAC's exhibition "Environmental Impact." Guided tours are offered at 10:15 a.m. and 12 p.m., followed by an optional art activity inspired by the exhibition. Dr. Matt Hettche, marketing professor at Christopher Newport University, will share how sustainability has gone mainstream and how to limit your impact.   • Art On Screen: The Wasteland
    Dec. 11 • Poetry at 6 p.m., Movie at 7 p.m. Free for members, $3 for nonmembers.
    Poetry will start at 6 p.m., followed by a screening of "The Wasteland" at 7 p.m. The documentary film shows how artist Vik Muniz worked with trashpickers in his native Brazil to create portraits from items found in a landfill.
  • Artist's Talk with Jesse Hutcheson
    Dec. 13 • 12 to 1:30 p.m. FREE
    Photographer Jesse Hutcheson will share stories of the two years he lived on a boat while giving a tour of his photography exhibition, #BoatLife. Hutcheson's photographs are on view in the Art Market Hallway until Jan. 4.
