    Author and poet Shonda Buchanan is the featured reader for April. Buchanan writes about race and culture in her poetry. Lovers of the spoken word are invited to share poems at this event, offered for free on the second Thursday of every month.

  • WHRO's The Scene Mini Film Festival

    The producers of WHRO's web series "The Scene" will screen several of their mini documentaries, focused on the most creative minds of the 757. Meet the producers, along with two of the film subjects: artist Asa Jackson and spoken word artist Godchild the Omen.

    Homeschooling families are invited to PFAC's quarterly event just for them! Take a special guided tour of the exhibit and participate in an optional craft inspired by the artwork on display. Registration is $3 per student, $6 per adult and free for children under 5. Participation in the optional art activity is an additional $3 per child, for a total admission of $6.     Join us for a free family friendly celebration of our exhibition, "The Original Art"! We'll have a special reading by local author Kim Norman, author of "Crocodaddy." Explore the exhibit, then create your own illustrations and crafts inspired by the art. From 2-3 p.m., enjoy a reception for new artworks from Walt Taylor and toothpick sculptures from Bob Morehead. Admission is free; art projects are $2 for nonmembers.

We'll also be previewing some of the art activities that will be featured in our Summer ArtVentures camps! Admission is free.
