PFAC’s Healing Arts program hosts veterans at PFAC each week. If you are interested in participating, please call.
Healing Arts enables active-duty soldiers, veterans, and their families to address the emotional and psychological effects of combat experience with art therapy services provided via a curriculum developed in partnership with EVMS. It is so important because 30% of all Veterans now struggle to cope with life after war. Post-Traumatic-Stress Disorder, suicide, and other mental-health issues in returning troops and veterans have gained media attention, which reports that an average of 18 veterans commit suicide every day.
PFAC has to raise money to implement this program that has been developed for individuals with disabilities. Each year, we must raise matching dollars in order to continue our work. PFAC hopes with your help we’ll raise the much needed funds to continue this important program. Please donate today!
PFAC is proud to be supported by Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs and the state and local arts agencies.
